SynopsisThis bill would have criminalized the transfer or possession of an assault weapon or large capacity ammunition feeding device to a minor. In addition it redefined large capacity ammunition feeding device to include any large cap magazine, regardless of manufacture date. And finally, it added ten years to the term of the '94 AWB to 2014.
AnalysisThe first provisions would have made it illegal for parents to take their children to the range to fire what the '94 AWB defined as assault weapons. The children could not even reload a magazine for another shooter.
This second section would have made it illegal to continue to own or transfer your currently legal large cap magazines.
