SynopsisThis bill was proposed as an extension of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, but in fact, went a lot further. It is the 2004 version of 2005's Senate Bill 645 and House Bill 1312.
AnalysisCongresswoman Musgrave, cofounder of the Second Amendment Caucus, referred to this bill as 'a violation' of the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Need we say more.
In September 2004 there was a last ditch effort to move this bill out of committee. The process required 218 signatures. It got 72.
