SynopsisSA2627 attempted to allow the relatives of victims from the DC snipers to proceed with junk lawsuits against whomever they felt appropriate.
AnalysisThis was an emotion based attempt to continue one possible line of junk lawsuits. Each of the perpetrators was in violation of federal law when they possessed the stolen weapon. Killing people only compounded their offenses. Laws were already in place to deal with the perpetrators. The fact that the snipers were able to obtain one manufacturer's gun should not place a financial burden upon that manufacturer.
