SynopsisFrom the Congressional Record summary: Repeals sunset provisions of the Undetectable Firearms Act of 1988 (which makes it illegal to manufacture, import, possess, or transfer a firearm that is not detectable by walk-through metal detectors or airport x-ray machines).AnalysisThe origin of the Undetectable Firearms Act of 1988 was the introduction of the Glock. Hysteria surrounded the concept that of a 'plastic gun'. Ignore the fact that the slide and barrel were steel.
When originally enacted and to this day, the firearm that this bill makes illegal is not technologically possible. It is unfortunate that many, well paid politicians spend their time and our taxpayer money on this garbage.
