Clearly Pandering Written by Tackleberry on 2007-07-11 19:16:37 He doesn't realize (or he's hoping no one else will) that these statements, taken in with his actions as mayor of New York, shows that he has no problem violating the constitutional rights of all citizens of that city. He also never took that stand until he began running for the nomination for the Republican party for president. While mayor, he never addressed the city council to repeal the handgun ban because it is a clear violation of a constitutional right. He likes to deflect criticism of his past actions by stating that he would appoint justices to the supreme court like Roberts and Alito. President Bush BARELY got them through the Senate when there was 55 Republicans. It is highly unlikely that a Republican president will ever have better represenation in the Senate, so that moots this defense of his. I for one would NEVER vote for him, even if that means a better chance that a Democrat gets elected. |

How much on the Constitution will he disregard to fight the "war on terror"? The possibility of him becoming president really bothers me. |
