- The NRA point us to an article on a House appropriations bill that splits the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in two. The 9th would be left with California, Hawaii, Guam and Northern Marianas Islands. The new 12th would have the remaining 7 western states that make up the current 9th.

- Of Arms & the Law has an update on the Parker case. Parker is challenging DC gun law.
- Of Arms & the Law also points the possibility that New York City is cooking the books on crime statistics.
- Senator Durbin and UCAN produce another worthless study. There is a reason children don't vote. It is because they think like children. Perhaps Senator Durbin should be under a similar restriction.
- Alphecca informs us that the Illinois House has failed the state. They did not support the override of the govenor's veto of the statewide gun transportation bill.
- “A FFL 07/SOT can NOT manufacture a machinegun unless he has a valid government order for one”. If this applies to you, you know it. Check out SayUncle for more info.

- The Smallest Minority takes note the Jointogether.org gun project is dead. I guess the most significant event in the organization's history did not rate a press release.
- Activity on the poll (on the right) has slowed down, so it wil be shut down in the morning. Unless something unexpected happens, nationwide ccw reciprocity will take the cake. HR1243, proposed by Hostettler, is already in the system to address this need. We will be investigating what we can do to get it moving.

The October poll was scheduled to end today, but traffic has been brisk. Due to postings on SayUncle and Keep & Bear Arms the poll has had a flurry of activity. Eighty percent of the votes have been cast in the past week. So, we are going to let it run alittle longer. Get over to the poll (its on the right) and vote, if you have not already.
For November, there may not be a poll. To be frank, we are just not sure what we would ask at this point and we are not going to poll for the sake of polling. If you have any ideas, shoot us some Feedback. Write Comment (0 Comments) |
