SynopsisThis bill requires that the BATFE video record all testing of firearms or ammunition and make an unedited DVD of that recording. The DVD shall then be available to owners of the subject firearm and defendants in any case related to the firearm. Additionally, the testing will not be admissible in court unless the defendant is provided a copy or waived his right to a copy.
AnalysisAccusations against the BATFE have been around for a long time. This legislation provides them the opportunity to prove their detractors wrong, or not, as the case may be.
