At this point, if you haven't detected a pattern, you are either blind or in extreme denial. If you use the old 4 point scale for A-F, the Democrats average a 0.44 and the Republicans a 3.87. Making the situation worse, is the fact that there are 21 Democrats to 16 Republicans. Now you need to understand that virtually all gun control bills introduced into the House go through the Judiciary Committee. What you see here is why it will be almost impossible to get any prog-gun bills to the president during the 110th.

The 2008 Presidential Election will decide how fast our Gun Rights will be taken away. | Written by beerslurpy on 2007-02-18 11:38:35 actually, it's not that bad counting off that board, we have strong pro gun- 16 (counting the B guy as progun) strong anti gun- 16 The undecideds and the agnostics: Lungren R- C+ (but a GOA F) Cohen D (TN)- pro CCW, no other views expressed (sounds potentially good to me) Johnson D (GA)- no views ever expressed (could break either way) Ellison D (MN)- strongly antigun, he's that muslim socialist Jordon R (OH)- A rated by GOA, thats good So that leaves us with: 16 pro gunners + 2 likely pro gunners 16 antigunners + 2 likely anti gunners one guy (Johnson D GA) that I cant find anything on. So pretty much a tie. And this takes into account the C+ republican being F rated by the GOA and thus an antigunner.
| Written by beerslurpy on 2007-02-18 12:09:41 oh crap, johnson is the replacement to McKinney and he is way antigun. He has papers going back 20 years talking about how waiting periods would have stopped the reagan assassination. So that leaves us with an 18-19 anti-gun judiciary committee. |
