Three days from now (01/09/09) concealed carry within the national park system is once again a reality at least if you live in the right state and locallity.

That said, the Brady bunch has filed suit trying to prevent implementation of the new regulation saying that it is too confusing for mere mortals that have already maintained a law abiding life provable with a concealed carry permit.

The COALITION OF NPS RETIREES seems to think people care what they think. They believe that those same, well regulated concealed carryiers, are going to go berzurk when presented with the opportunity for Illegal “Impulse Killing” of Wildlife. Sure. The sight of Bambi is going to turn a law abiding citizen into a frothing mouth felon. Somehow this logic makes sense to them.

In reality, the filers of any lawsuit against the regulation change are probably just hoping to delay implementation until after the inauguration. If they can do that, they probably expect to be able to get the Obama administration to put a lethal injection into the regulation change.

Given Obama's documented lack of support for the Second Amendment, their expectation is quite reasonable.
