On November 20, 2007, the day that the Supreme Court granted Heller v. D.C., the Chicago Tribune ran an article titled "Court To Hear Gun Case". It was written by James Oliphant and Michael J. Higgins. That article said, But the campaign of Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama said that he "...believes that we can recognize and respect the rights of law-abiding gun owners and the right of local communities to enact common sense laws to combat violence and save lives. Obama believes the D.C. handgun law is constitutional."
Don't try to find that article today. The Chicago Tribune link that used to work no longer does. This is not surprising as they are a business. They want you to pay for archive copies. So, what happens when you search the archives for the article? You draw a blank. As a matter of fact, the archive has no articles on Heller for the entire month of November 2007. Don't ever try to tell me there is no media bias.
