Watching D.C. v. Heller is the first time I have watched the machinations of the Supreme Court. You may, like me, find the scheduling a bit strange. Over at ScotusBlog I found this "Court’s rules provides at least 112 days between grant and argument - 45 to file the petitioner’s brief, 30 for the respondent’s, 30 for a reply, and at least a week more until the actual argument.". Just in case you were wondering.
