The UN Development Program is halting their gun grab in Uganda: UNDP Halts Uganda Disarmament Program. Did they halt because they realized it was a bad idea? No. They halted the program because the area became too dangerous for their people. And the Ugandan government is part of the problem! You would think that the UN would begin to get it. They don't.
