Synopsis

S.2599 is the companion bill to H.R.5013. 

This bill prevents anyone working for the feds or working for a group that recieves money from the feds from order the confiscation of or confiscating firearms during an emergency if they are otherwise lawfully owned.

The NRA has announced support for S.2599/H.R.5013 in Congressman Jindal Introduces the "Disaster Recovery Personal Protection Act of 2006”.
