SynopsisThis bill makes it legal to possess and carry firearms within units of the National Park Service as long as you are within the limitations of state and local law.
AnalysisThere is no reason our rights should be abridged just because we cross a boundary into National Park lands. Crime does exist inside national parks and we have a right to defend ourselves. The bill does not make a distinction between open and concealed carry or long gun vs. handgun. In no way does it usurp state's rights. This bill is long overdue.
