SynopsisThe text is now available through the Congressional Record link above, and it is quite a mouthful. Word on the street is that it is substantially similar to, if not identical to the 1994 AWB and that Feinstein wishes to maximize her chances for success by not pushing the envelope any farther than necessary.
AnalysisThis is just another attempt to bring us back to cosmetic restrictions and magazine size restrictions that restricted the rights of the law abiding without providing any benefit to society.
Belief on the street is that it has little chance for success. Senate Bill 2498 was her attempt last year to renew the 1994 AWB before it expired. It was never brought up for a vote.
