Synopsis

The bill converts .50 caliber weapons into NFA weapons with all of the attendant paperwork.

Analysis

First, this bill has nothing to do with any lawsuits. It does not address any of the issues or changes brought about by S.397.

Second, .50 caliber weapons do not show up as being used by criminals. They are large and heavy making them impractical for use by criminals. Only law abiding citizens would be impacted by this legislation.

It is infringement without benefit in its highest form.
