Michigan has two new gun laws, scheduled for introduction on Tue, 20 March. Currently, before you buy a handgun you need to fill out the paperwork and have the criminal check. Then you buy it. Then you have to take it to the police department for a "safety inspection" - basically the final step in registering the handgun. HB 4490 and 4491 eliminate the requirement for this inane "inspection" and eliminate the criminal penalties for failing to register. Thanks to Jay 2valuable.blogspot.com
