It was not hard to figure out the AHSA. Despite their claims to represent a reasonable alternative to the existing gun rights groups, the detail position statements made it clear that they were aligned with the gun control believers. Details of the AHSA's organization showed it to be closely aligned with gun control activists of the Democratic party.
And now we have a profile of John Rosenthal by boston's weekly dig. He is listed on huntersandshooters.com as the President of the AHSA Foundation and was listed as the AHSA Executive Vice President, Shooting Resources. It turns out that he envisions the AHSA as a national level version of the Massachusetts Stop Handgun Violence that he worked to build. They will collect money, pollute the skyline with billboards and issue endless press releases. If that is how they wish to measure success, they will be great. If they measure success in legislative accomplishments, that will be another matter. So, if you think Massachusetts style gun control is right for the nation, this group is for you. Otherwise, recognize this bunch as another group of gun grabbers. Only registered users can write comments. Please login or register. Powered by AkoComment 2.0! |
