WelcomeThis site is dedicated to the preservation of our Second Amendment rights.
The 2004 election proved the power of the internet to inform and dispel the misinformation propagated by some of the mainstream media. It also showed a hole in information availability. Specifically, there was no website available to provide well organized and concise information related to current federal gun control legislative activity. This website is designed to fill that void.
As a starting point, we will track federal legislation aimed at limiting our rights or aimed at controlling the manufacture and distribution of firearms and ammunition. Given the sheer volume, we are going to restrict ourselves to those bills that have a significant chance of passing. As time goes by we will be building profiles of legislators, both for and against our rights, as they take lead positions in the gun control fight. Every bill and amendment will be cross referenced to the government websites so that you, the reader, can go to the source.
The opinions expressed in the analysis portions of this site belong to those of us who run this site. Your opinions will differ. We encourage you to follow the links to the bill texts and analyze them for yourself.
We have added a How To Use This Site page. It will tell you how the site is layed out and the reasons behind the design. Reading that page will help you make more effective use of the site and your time.
We welcome your comments and suggestions freely. Please Feedback any comments you may have or pointers to information we have missed.
Thank you,
